3RD ANNUAL DRUG OVERDOSE & PREVENTION VIGIL

Please join us on May 23rd, 7-9 p.m. at the Portico at St. John’s, Westminster, Maryland, for the 3rd Annual Drug Overdose and Prevention Vigil that will recognize the lives lost to drug addiction, and will provide community support to the grieving friends and families left behind. We will also discuss how we can all play a role in preventing future overdose deaths in this County.

This year Keith Mills of WBAL-TV & 98 Rock will be returning again to participate and tell of his story of addiction.  We are also very excited to bring Darryl Strawberry in as our Keynote speaker this year to talk about his struggles with addiction, and how he has managed to find peace in long term recovery.  During Mr. Strawberry’s Major League Baseball career, he received 4 World Series Titles: New York Mets 1986; New York Yankees 1996, 1998, & 1999.  He was a 8 times National League All-Star from 1984 through 1991, as well as, Topps All Star Rookie of the Year in 1983.Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the vigil will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.  Seating is first come first serve.
