Our Office participated in the 10th Anniversary of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, which was held today at the TownMall of Westminster. State’s Attorney Brian DeLeonardo, along with Secretary Rona Kramer of the Maryland Department of Aging and Carroll County Commissioner Steve Wantz, discussed the joint efforts being made to protect our seniors from physical abuse and financial exploitation. Thank you to Katie Cashman, Director of Elder Services for Family and Children’s Services for organizing such a great event to raise awareness on this growing issue.
